At Christ Our Holy Redeemer Primary School, we believe in order to “grow the child” we need to “know the child”. Assessment and reporting are two key elements to the teaching and learning environment.
Teachers assess student progress formatively throughout the year. They begin with a range of diagnostic assessments in the key areas of literacy, numeracy and social and emotional well-being and continue with numerous formative assessment tools and strategies that enable the teachers to plan effective and engaging programs to meet individual needs and learning styles.
Our school is committed to providing accurate and comprehensive information on student progress to students, parents and teachers.
Parent Teacher Interviews are held twice a year, and formal reports are sent home in June and December. The reports accurately assess student achievement against state-wide standards and progression points detailed within the standards of the F-10 Victorian Curriculum.
